Looking for a customer service/shipping and receiving represenative to add to our team **TEMP TO HIRE**
Summary of Job Description:
1. Responsible for all import operations, spot rate negotiations, forwarding consolidations, documentation, pre-alerts, tracing, and customer service quotes.
2. Ocean traffic moving from overseas partners and customers.
3. Open files for each shipment under Stevens Global Logistics, Inc. system.
4. Ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives.
General areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Ø Handle all customer service contacts received by phone or e-mail with high accuracy.
Ø Ensure operational excellence and high productivity.
Ø Research and route shipments based on company and customer requirements.
Ø Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately.
Ø Review and resolve any discrepancy found in the freight instructions/documents.
Ø Assure that files contain necessary document copies based on company procedures.
Ø Audit and approve freight bills.
Ø Filing and folder management – ensure all files are store in the appropriate file cabinets.
